Last Friday, I attended a seminar on ethics using movies as the way to discuss ethics. We looked at clips about movies such as 12 Angry Men, My Cousin Vinny, The Verdict, and Michael Clayton to discuss the various points. I signed up for this seminar because it was just my cup of tea. I had seen most of the movies.
It is interesting to ponder the differences and the similarities between morals and ethics. They are different but it seemed hard to articulate. As we discussed it, it seems that morals are more of a personal code whereas ethics are more rule oriented.
I bring this seminar up because it meshes with my interest in movies.
