David Janssen was born David Meyer on March 27, 1931 in Napanee, Nebraska. At age 5, his mother moved to California following a divorce from David's father. She remarried Eugene Janssen and David used his last name when he went into show business. He is best known as Dr. Richard Kimble in the television series THE FUGITIVE in the 1960s. He died February 13, 1980 of a heart attack at age 48.
